“Has no one condemned you?” “No sir”. she replied. “Neither do I. Go and stop your sinful lifestyle.” Said Jesus.
.
I’ve heard it said that most of the mental treatment facilities would close if their patients could be assured that their past sins and failures were forgiven. If you are breathing, you have a past that contains your sins and wrongdoings. What normally follows sin is guilt, shame and regret. These pile up. They may not always surface in our conscious thought, but they play continually in our subconscious. I don’t have to tell you how these wreck havoc in your life.

What if the words Jesus spoke to the adulterous woman were spoken by Him to us?! Let’s explore that in the Scriptures. The Apostle John says, “God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” Did you hear that?! God is not interested in condemning you! He’s not mad at you! Quite the opposite...He is in love with you! Read that again! The one who knows all your flaws & sins, loves you!!
.
But, back to forgiveness. How do we get it? By admitting our sin, confessing it to God and purposing to stop living that way. Jesus called that, repentance. With repentance comes an amazing deal concerning forgiveness.
.
In John’s first letter found in the Bible, he says, “if we are confessing our sins to God, He will forgive us of all our sins.” We all know that verse. The game changer is a few lines up from that, where he says, “and the blood of Jesus, constantly cleanses us from all sin.” WOW! If I’m standing in the shower under the water, no matter how much dirt is thrown on me...I won’t get dirty cause the water is constantly keeping me clean...it’s the same with forgiveness! We are constantly clean by the continuous flow of God’s forgiveness!
.
So if you are a repeater, you have constant forgiveness. That that’s freedom!
